Sardaar Ji‘s hindi dubbed version was aired on a leading television channel and the standard of dubbing upset Diljit Dosanjh

Punjabi film SardaarJi’s hindi dubbed version was aired on a leading television channel yesterday. The 2015 superhit film, which starred Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa and Mandy Takhar, was directed by Rohit Jugraj.

Although the movie’s television premiere (hindi version) was keenly awaited by millions of Diljit’s fans but the end result left them asking for more. The quality of dubbing was so bad that Diljit himself had to apologize for that.

Diljit was not involved in the dubbing process at all and just like his fans, he too was watching the hindi version on TV and was surprised to see the outcome. He immediately felt sorry to his fans through a tweet and remarked the hindi version as a ‘compromise’.

We all know how funny and witty Diljit is. He is someone who is hardly seen angry on anyone and his disappointment on the hindi dubbing of SardaarJi goes to show his fondness for the movie. But in between all this, he wrote a light hearted tweet mimicking the hindi version.

A famous dialogue of the movie ‘hun phadd lo bhoond diyan lattan’ was dubbed as ‘ab pakad lo bhoot ki taange’ which amused Diljit and his fans.

One of his fans tweeted that he is ready to watch the movie in Hindi as well and he has no fight with the language.

To this Diljit replied that he has no problem with the language. He said he respects all languages including hindi but the dubbing should have been properly done. Noone better than Diljit knows how to lighten the mood of his fans. That’s the reason he has this connect with people worldwide
